HR Generalist

Location: Chandler, AZ
The Human Resources Generalist will provide general services to the Human Resources department to assist in providing benefits, maintaining employee files, assisting with employee communication and training, enforcing Human Resource policies and procedures and assisting in employee discipline and termination when necessary, and assisting in ensuring that personnel functions conform to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  
Job responsibilities:
The position’s key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Communicating with employees and managers to provide information and assistance concerning employment, policies and procedures and personnel records.
  • Maintaining a training calendar for employees and managing training and development.
  • Maintaining forms, procedures, brochures, etc. for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documents, files and records (e.g. personnel records, employee lists, etc.) in both electronic format and hard copy in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Scheduling and managing employee performance evaluations and the performance management and improvement process.
  • Participating in inter-departmental consultation to develop recommendations and/or supporting other managers in other departments.
  • Performing other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Human Resources Department.
 Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of Associate degree required, Bachelors preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the HR function
  • Experience in the Education Industry is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ADP is preferred. 
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, or as a team member
