The Director of Career Services provides leadership for setting the goals, objectives, and priorities of career services programs. The Director will provide individual and group advising regarding the career decision-making process, and work with faculty and staff to align career services policies/procedures/practices to best meet the needs of students; strengthen existing relationships and work to establish new relationships with employers, alumni, and graduate/professional schools; market department services and resources through creative use of technology; provide direction for meeting student career development needs through use of technology, testing, assessment, and other career resources; and supervise staff. The Director of Career Services will build effective relationships with local and regional corporations, non-profit and government organizations and community partners to identify employment opportunities.
  • Provides leadership and sets strategy, goals and objectives in order to meet employment goals.
  • Ensure Career Services operates according to ACCSC and BPPE standards of accreditation.
  • Maintains presentation skills certification.
  • Oversee Student Learning Outcomes Assessments; Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with local and regional corporations and organizations.
  • Develops and maintains systems used to identify employment opportunities for students.
  • Assists graduates in securing employment in their field of study.
  • Provides career coaching and interview techniques through seminars and workshops.
  • Oversees maintenance of Career Services database.
  • Maintains department compliance with accreditation regulations.
  • Manages quality surveys.

Preference will be given to candidates meeting the following criteria:
  • 2+ years at a Nationally-accredited private for-profit college 
  • Managed 6+ campus-based Career Services (CS) staff
  • CampusVue experience, including analyzing metrics based on reports from CVue
  • Managed staff who perform:
    • student-facing career services functions
    • employer-facing placement functions
    • externship acquisition & coordination functions
  • 2+ years in a CS Director, CS Assistant Director or CS Team Lead role
  • 4+ years in Career Services
  • Compiled and approved Graduate Employment data for reporting to regulatory bodies
